Yep... it's true for actually every child is unique and they have their own ways to learn things. Some learn just by listening, some learn by watching, some need to experience things, some learn by drilling, some........ etc. You have to have 100 kind of approaches if you have 100 children in one class. It is tiring but as a teacher... we have to realize who would care for them and be their hero if it isn't us. Their parents? Yes but before we go looking for others to blame... look at ourselves, at think back of our duties and our title, "Teacher". Teacher is a combination of a lot of meanings and that's why a teacher is the most noble job in the world. These kids actually didn't do anything wrong but well I do agree when Jackie Chan said there's no bad pupil, only bad teacher.
Okay~ today's lesson was singing Good Morning song. I thought I could make the class lively by ask them to do some phonics activities first then sing the song, but... ouch! I was wrong! Their batteries got weaker and weaker!! たいへんだあああ!They were hungry and one of them actually got fever. Huu... anyway the lesson went just nice during the first activities but hmm.... I think I need a better strategy to tackle them. Haha!
For year 4M, It went nicely. Sanisah, the worse scenario in the class... a girl who doesn't talk much but she likes to do other stuff while you were talking in front or do some other activities with the class. Today I asked her to move to the front so that I can see her and pay more attention to her. Well, I was trying to make it sounds less embarrassing for her and I guess it works cuz I didn't see any frowning after that. She just smiled and did as I told her to do. Shamie is a very hyper active boy who likes to response negatively towards other people. What I meant by negatively is he always gives bad excuses every time I want the class to do activities at home. However, I found it amazing when I asked the class to do the homework in the class and he did it seriously. He did his work like I told him to, corrected the wrong sentences when I told him that it was wrong and I like it so much.
(year 4M)
(What we did today)
